Hi!

We’re Sarah and Julia, two Welsh sisters who’ve been working on making sustainable fashion more inclusive for over 15 years now. Between us, we’ve got six kids, so along with running a studio and designing collections for Dati, we’ve got our hands full!

DATI (pronounced DA-TEE), meaning ‘Good on You’ in Welsh, transforms hand-picked vintage and second-hand finds with ethically sourced fabrics to create visually stimulating and unique renewed pieces. In addition, they create custom zero-waste garments designed for everyone who wears their brand to feel good, do good, and ooze style and confidence!

The duo behind the brand are sisters Sarah and Julia. They have focussed much of their time working with grassroots organisations and marginalised communities. Their knowledge and pioneering spirit of putting slow fashion on the agenda has led to collaborations with Oxfam, John Lewis, and IKEA, as well as exhibiting their work in the Senedd and being featured in Dazed and Vogue magazine.

In 2016, they set up The Sustainable Studio as a centre for supporting and promoting the creative sector in Wales. Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do, from garment construction to how the Studio is run, carefully considering every decision and aiming to reduce their environmental impact collectively.
